NFMC wants to send out a big thank you to NFMC’s summer students, Owen Booker(Port Perry, ON) and Oliver Marks(Collingwood, ON). Our team wishes them all the best in their final year of studies at Lakehead University. They are both scheduled to graduate in April 2024 with Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degrees.

From May-August, Oliver and Owen assisted the NFMC Silviculture team in completing tree plant quality check and stocking assessments on both the Pic and White River Forests.  They also assisted Forest Operations Team with safety, inventory and compliance activities.

We thank them for a productive and fun summer. NFMC appreciated their dedication and energy, and again, we wish them all the best in the final year of studies in their forestry program.
