Visiting OYEP camp was Tree-rific!

Yesterday, NFMC’s Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, Brett Redden, and Senior Forestry Operations Technical Specialist, Joshua DeJong, welcomed the opportunity to provide an informational session to Indigenous youth and staff of the Outland Youth Employment Program(OYEP). Brett discussed the scholarship program and Josh discussed NFMC’s forestry operations as well as career opportunities available within the forestry industry. The OYEP camp was composed of twenty two Indigenous youth(16yrs-18yrs of age) and eight staff. As in 2022, the camp was set up this summer at Normandy Lodge(Wawa, ON).
