A big thanks to JML Engineering for coming out to help NFMC staff inspect bridges throughout the Pic Forest! The following bridge (#15-26) just off of the Twist Road at Roger Creek is scheduled for immediate removal. Please use caution in the area. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact NFMC at 807-229-8118.
The current stage includes a 60 day review and comment period open to the public, available from September 15th to November 13th, 2020.
Approximately 3,000 tonnes (equivalent to 140 truckloads) of crushed “A” gravel will be spot placed in high priority areas of the road.
The short-term demand has allowed NFMC to locate and mark numerous poplar piles throughout the Pic Forest for grinding, which not only removes existing wood piles but minimizes the loss of productive forest land.
