NFMC Attends Grand Opening Ceremonies of Johnny K’s Highway Gas Bar & Convenience Store- Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg First Nation
On Friday, August 29, NFMC’s Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator, Brett Redden, and Senior Forestry Operations Technical Specialist, Joshua DeJong, had the pleasure of attending the grand opening ceremony of Johnny K’s Highway Gas Bar & Convenience Store. This exciting new business is located next to Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg’s Powwow grounds on Hwy 17.
The ceremony included speeches from Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg’s Chief Louis Kwissiwa, Deputy Chief Thurston, Johanna Desmoulin-former Chief, Elder- Stan Sabourin, White Lake Ltd Partnership President-Marlene Sabourin, Tom O’Neil-Canada Clean Fuels, and Ryan Rushtan- Borealis Propane.
